About me
My name is Zach Jones. I have had a passion for music, performing, and creating since before I can even remember. I aim to showcase and share that very same passion with every person around me, anywhere I go, every single time that I go up to play. I have written, sang, and played guitar for several different original projects, such as my current band Shallow Planet. I also do solo acoustic performances. I would love to talk with you and work with you if you ever need music.
Solo acoustic sets
My most frequent and consistent type of gigs are solo acoustuc sets. I play at a variety of local breweries, wineries, and restaurants around the Northern Virginia area. My acoustic sets are a unique blend of music spanning several different artists and decades, including Stone Temple Pilots, The Beatles, Neil Young, The Lumineers, John Mayer, Incubus, Dave Matthews Band, James Taylor, The Black Keys, Silverchair, Eagles, The Strokes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Noah Kahan, Pink Floyd, and much, much more, as well as a handful of original songs. Full Band live shows
Without a doubt the most personally and creatively satisfying part of being a musician for me is writing and performing original material with bandmates whom I have a close personal connection with. My band Shallow Planet has an EP out on all major music platforms called “Visions of the Future”, released October 22nd, 2022. We are a rock band that takes influence from multiple musical genres, and heavily utilizes dynamics and atmosphere to drive home an experience or story.
